Residents have complained about the difficulty of crossing Theale High Street at its eastern (Reading) end.
They need to cross the road at this point to get to the One-Stop convenience store, the pharmacy, other shops, restaurants and pubs. Bus users also need to cross here to get to and from the bus stops.
Elderly people in Elizabeth Court, Leonard Court and Cumber Place are particularly affected.
